Samsung 25W Travel Adapter (TA800) Review: The Only Charger You Should Buy for Galaxy?

Samsung 25W Travel Adapter (TA800) Review: The Only Charger You Should Buy for Galaxy? By The Tech Guru If you just bought a Samsung Galaxy phone—whether it's a budget M-series, a mid-range A55, or a flagship S24—you likely faced a rude shock when you opened the box. No charger. Just a cable. Samsung says this is for the "environment." We know it's to save costs. So now you have a choice: buy a random cheap charger from the market, or buy the official Samsung 25W Travel Adapter (TA800) . Is the official one actually worth ₹1,000? Or is it just an overpriced brick? I bought one for my Galaxy M34 to find out. The Secret Sauce: What is PPS? Most students make a mistake here. They buy a "33W Fast Charger" from brands like Mi or Realme, plug it into their Samsung, and wonder why it charges slowly. The reason is PPS (Programmable Power Supply) . Samsung phones use this specific technology to unlock "Super Fast Charging." Standard Charger: Charges a...

OnePlus Pad Go Review: The Best Tablet for Netflix & Binge-Watching?

OnePlus Pad Go Review: The Best Tablet for Netflix & Binge-Watching?

By The Tech Guru

If the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is the "responsible student" doing homework in the library, the OnePlus Pad Go is the student chilling in the hostel room, binge-watching Stranger Things at 2 AM.

This isn't a tablet built for spreadsheets or heavy multitasking. It’s an "Anti-Productivity" tablet—and I mean that as a huge compliment. OnePlus has looked at what students actually do with tablets (watch movies, read PDFs, scroll Instagram) and built a device specifically for that.

The star of the show is the stunning 2.4K "ReadFit" Display. At under ₹20,000, this screen has no business being this good. But is a pretty face enough to make it your daily driver? I spent a week with it to find out.

The 2.4K ReadFit Display (Why 7:5 Ratio Matters)

Let's start with the screen because it is, frankly, the only reason you should buy this tablet.

  • Resolution: It boasts a 2.4K (2408 x 1720) resolution. To put that in perspective, most tablets in this price range (like the Samsung A9+) are just 1080p. The text on the OnePlus is razor-sharp, and 4K videos on YouTube look incredible.

  • The "ReadFit" Aspect Ratio: Most tablets are 16:10 (widescreen). The Pad Go uses a unique 7:5 aspect ratio. This makes the screen "taller" and more square-ish.

    • For Students: This is a game-changer for reading. A standard A4 PDF fits perfectly on this screen without huge black bars. It feels like holding a digital book.

  • Brightness & Fluidity: With 400 nits brightness and a 90Hz refresh rate, scrolling through notes or Reddit feels buttery smooth.

Verdict: This is hands-down the best display under ₹20,000. If you read a lot of eBooks or watch a lot of media, this screen will spoil you.

Audio Experience (Dolby Atmos Quad Speakers)

A great screen needs great sound, and OnePlus didn't cheap out here. The Pad Go features Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The "Omnibearing Sound Field" technology (fancy marketing speak for "smart stereo") automatically adjusts the left and right channels depending on how you hold the tablet. The sound is loud, rich, and has a surprising amount of depth. You can easily watch a movie without reaching for your headphones.

Performance & Gaming (Helio G99)

Here is where we come back down to earth. The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor.

  • The Good: It is perfectly adequate for daily tasks. Opening apps, browsing Chrome with 10 tabs, and streaming 1080p video happens without a hitch. The 8GB of RAM (standard on most models) keeps things snappy.

  • The Bad: This is not a gaming beast. You can play BGMI or CODM, but only on Medium settings. If you try to push it to High graphics, you will see frame drops.

This tablet knows what it is: a media consumption device, not a gaming rig.

Battery Life & Charging

OnePlus is famous for battery tech, and the Pad Go delivers.

  • Battery: It packs a large 8000mAh battery. In my testing, I got about 14 hours of continuous video playback. That is easily enough to get you through a couple of days of mixed use (lectures + Netflix) without needing a charge.

  • Charging: It supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. While it's not the 67W blazing speed of OnePlus phones, it is significantly faster than the slow 15W charging found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. You can top it up reasonably quickly between classes.

Pros & Cons List

  • Pros:

    • Stunning 2.4K Display: Sharpest screen in the segment, perfect for reading.

    • 7:5 Aspect Ratio: Ideal for PDFs, eBooks, and web browsing.

    • Loud Quad Speakers: Excellent Dolby Atmos sound for movies.

    • Premium Design: Two-tone finish looks unique and feels expensive.

    • 33W Fast Charging: Faster than its main competitor, Samsung.

  • Cons:

    • Average Processor: The Helio G99 is fine for media but weak for heavy gaming.

    • No Headphone Jack: You'll need a dongle or Bluetooth buds.

    • Software: OxygenOS for tablets is clean but lacks the advanced multitasking features of Samsung DeX.

Final Verdict: Who Should Buy It?

The OnePlus Pad Go is a specialist device. It doesn't try to be a laptop replacement like the Samsung; it tries to be the ultimate entertainment slate.

You SHOULD BUY the OnePlus Pad Go if:

  • You consume a lot of media (Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video).

  • You read a lot of digital notes, PDFs, or eBooks (the 7:5 ratio is superior).

  • You want a premium-looking tablet that stands out in the classroom.

You should probably AVOID this if:

  • You are a hardcore mobile gamer.

  • You need heavy multitasking features for work (get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+).

For the student who wants to relax after a long day of classes with a high-quality movie experience, the OnePlus Pad Go is the undisputed king of the budget segment.

Still undecided? See how it stacks up against the competition in our [Best Tablets Under ₹20,000 List].
